Francisco Melo, vice president and general manager of Global RFID at Avery Dennison, led the "Changing the game with Intelligent Labeling Solutions" panel discussion, joined by Tsvetan Dimitrov, Director Business Solutions , adidas group; Marco Andre Cunha, Supply Chain Director, SONAE; and  Dr. Bill Hardgrave, Vice President, Auburn University. The conversation focused on how RFID is becoming the foundation for a successful digital strategy in today’s retail landscape.

To kick off the discussion, Melo highlighted the changes the industry has experienced compared to last year and asked  panelists about the correlation between inventory visibility, accuracy and customer satisfaction.

“One of the ways we look at the consumer experience is we look at net promoter score. When we are seeing retailers in those settings, we are seeing their NPS scores going up as a result of RFID enabling high inventory accuracy leading to a better omnichannel experience.” said Dr. Bill Hardgrave, Vice President, Auburn University

Tsvetan Dimitrov, Director Business Solutions, adidas group agreed:  “Consumer experience is very important for us. [Having] the right product at the right place and the right time illustrates the power of RFID technology. I focus on stock accuracy...data that is coming from RFID”. These key learnings are exactly the primary  benefits leading the rise of RFID adoption across the industry.
