Honoring the musical superheroes of Jamaica

Art Comes First drew inspiration from the colors and sounds of Jamaica for its latest Spring/Summer 2019 capsule collection in collaboration with the namesake British brand, Fred Perry. The capsule collection was made up of a vibrant range of polo shirts, complemented by a series of limited edition packaging sleeves. The packaging designs took inspiration from the designers favorite record sleeves, celebrating the musical superheroes from Jamaica’s Rocksteady genre of the 60’s/70’s.

To launch the collection, Art Comes First hosted in-store takeovers in several of Fred Perry’s central London stores. The space was transformed with wall art installations and displays of the packaging sleeves - digitally printed and produced in-house by Avery Dennison.
