Avery Dennison RBIS: Leaders in Denim

Feeling Blue

With extensive experience in apparel branding solutions, we pride ourselves on our specific knowledge, expertise and our love of indigo. A particular soft spot for us, we have collaborated with other passionate leaders in the industry to drive trends, develop industry insights, promote sustainability and most of all, share our passion for everything blue.

You may have seen us recently:

  • In London and L.A. in preparation for Coachella 2017. Customizing outfits with stylists and bloggers.
  • At Coachella 2017 with Lot, Stock and Barrel at a uniqe customization pop-up store.
  • At the Blueprint Festival for Amsterdan Denim Days with WGSN.

Take a further look below into some of our recent initatives.

Avery Dennison FDMTL Collaboration

Avery Dennison recently collaborated with Tokyo based denim brand, FDMTL, to utilise, maximise and celebrate their innovative use of Boro. Traditional Boro involves heavy manual work and is not suitable for mass production, however Avery Dennison has worked closely with the design team at FDMTL to develop and perfect Boro replica techniques, such as jacquard-weaving Component Weave technology, which provides the same sustainable and social benefits of traditional Boro.

Avery Dennison and Lot, Stock and Barrel, Coachella 2017

Lot, Stock and Barrel and Avery Dennison teamed up over the two weekends to offer exclusive merchandise to the general public. Customers could choose between embellishing their own garments or garments purchased directly from the pop-up with the designs by Lot, Stock and Barrel.

Next-gen branding from ISKO I-SKOOL™

Back in the summer of 2016, Avery Dennison RBIS teamed up with ISKO™ Denim to seek out the next generation of talent in the denim industry through a competition in which over 50,000 students created a complete branding concept for their denim designs.

In February this year, we were excited to welcome Farah Wali, winner of the competition, joining us for a creative internship for three months at the London office. We challenged her to create a full denim look, collaging deadstock heat transfers in combination with branding elements from her collection. The results were stunning - in fact that were so good we decided to capture them in a special photo shoot right here in London too!
